How do I clean a hood covered in grease that trapped dust?

1 cap (5 ml) per 100 ml of water; a 250 ml bottle = 2.5 caps. Grease mixed with dust settles on a metal or glass hood. The hood dulls, feels sticky, and every wipe just smears the layer.

Steps

  1. Hood off and cold; do a trial in a barely visible corner.
  2. Apply the 5% mix on a cloth or in thick drops on the housing (never a mist).
  3. Wait 15 to 30 seconds. Let OrangiO lift the layer for you.
  4. Collect the dirt, wipe with a clean damp cloth.
  5. Dry steel along the grain.

Do not use on

aluminium, filters, electronics, anti-fingerprint coatings without a trial.

Safety

do not spray into vents; air the kitchen. Never mix OrangiO with other chemicals, especially bleach.

Finish

clean damp cloth plus drying along the steel grain.

Questions

Can I spray straight onto the hood?

Better on the cloth, or in thick drops on the housing. Never spray into vents or onto filters.

How do I dry steel without streaks?

With a dry cloth along the grain of the steel. Against the light there should be no dots and no streaks.

Where to get the base
