How do I clean the tiles above the hob after frying?

fresh marks: 1% (2 caps per 1 l); older layer: 5% (2.5 caps per 250 ml of water). Tiny grease droplets settle on glazed tiles; after a few days each one traps dust and the wall looks permanently dirty.

Steps

  1. Hob and wall must be COLD.
  2. Fresh dots: a cloth with the 1% mix.
  3. Older, sticky layer: 5% on a cloth or in thick drops (never a mist), wait 15 to 30 seconds.
  4. Lift the dirt, wipe with a clean damp cloth.
  5. Dry. Against the light: zero dots.

Do not use on

hot surfaces, natural stone, raw grout (grout needs its own trial).

Safety

do not spray a fine mist; air the kitchen. Never mix OrangiO with other chemicals, especially bleach.

Finish

clean damp cloth plus drying.

Questions

Fresh marks or an old layer: which strength?

Fresh dots come off with a 1% cloth. An older, sticky layer needs 5% and 15 to 30 seconds of patience.

Why thick drops and not a mist?

A mist flies into the air and onto the hob. Thick drops stay on the surface and do the work for half a minute.

Where to get the base

This plan needs one bottle: OrangiO #mama106, an orange oil concentrate for grease and glue.
