How do I remove candle wax from glass or ceramic?

mechanical first; then 5% (1 cap per 100 ml) for the thin film. A candle leaves a greasy wax ring. A romantic evening ends with scraping and the risk of scratches.

Steps

Lift the wax lump mechanically: a plastic card or a fingernail through a cloth (not a knife!).
On the remaining greasy film: a pad with the 5% mix, hold for half a minute.
Wipe the film off, repeat if needed.
Wash and dry the surface.

Do not use on

lacquer, wood, plastics, hot glass, painted decorations.

Safety

candle out, glass cold, always. Never mix OrangiO with other chemicals, especially bleach.

Finish

thorough wash plus drying.

Questions

Can I scrape the wax off with a knife?

No. A plastic card or a fingernail through a cloth: a knife leaves scratches deeper than the wax.

The candle is still warm. Can I start?

No. Candle out, glass cold, always. Warm wax smears and warm glass is a risk.
